I have been enjoying visiting blogs and decided to start my own, even though I don't know what I am doing or if anyone will even be interested in reading what I have to say. I am a 50 year old management consultant who has been married to the the love of my life for 30 years and have two grown daughters and a son-in-law who we are very proud of. We are blessed to live in Scottsdale Arizona and are enjoying getting out and experiencing it in our RV! Thanks for stopping by our blog and please consider joining us, who knows where we will go...Kevin & Tracy.

Mission Accomplished!

Mission Noise Elimination is done and WOW what a difference. Took our Class C out for a test drive and the creaking and squeaking is now gone! All I can hear are the pots and pans rattling around...aah, it sounds wonderful.

The headliner went right back into place with no problem and I only used 10 staples versus the hundreds that were used before, so if the next owner has to remove the headliner, he/she will thank me. It was a lot of work, it was well worth it...I would highly recommend it.

We want to welcome Kenny and Angela as our latest blog followers.  In looking at their blog, they are fellow Tioga owners and may benefit from our most recent repair adventure. Welcome aboard and thanks for joining us!

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend...we are sure going to enjoy our great weather!

    1. Jim - Thanks. I read recently that to own an RV you either need to be rich or handy. Since I am not rich, I can be thankful I am handy. Hope you are doing well.

  3. Had to catch up on your last few entries. Looks like a great repair job. We have a class C (2011 Lazy Daze) so in a few years we will probably be looking at a similar situation. Thanks for the post and all the good info.

    1. Donna - Thanks for the note and I was happy that I was able to find (with the help of RV.Net) and resolve the problem. The noise coming from the passenger side of our rig was driving us a crazy and was most likely a contributor to why the former owners sold it. When I was researching the subject, there were no pictures of the repair that I could find, so I wanted to make sure that I documented it well with pictures to hopefully make it easier for others to follow. Take care and enjoy the weekend!

  4. It's a lot of work to eliminate all those odd noises, but it's worth it when you're able to drive down the road and enjoy the results of your labor. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Russ - Thanks for the positive feedback and for joining our blog. I really enjoy these kinds of projects, especially when they work. :) It does give me a great feeling of accomplishment and it was like driving a new rig yesterday when I took it out on the road. Take care.

  5. Great job on eliminating those noises, now you can pinpoint some of the other squeaks and rattling dishes.

    1. George - The dish rattling is music to my ears compared to the creaking and squeaking that was taking place prior to the repair. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard every time we hit a rough patch of road. I think the fiberglass surface of the overhead sleeper was sliding side to side on the roof of the cab as we went down the road making the loud noises. Now that this has been resolved, I can turn up the radio to cover up the dish noise.:) Take care and I hope you are enjoying Bullhead City!
