Tracy and I had a great weekend camping at McDowell Mountain Park...Here are some pictures from our time there...
A Saturday morning bird walk with Ranger Amy...
Our daughter Sarah and boyfriend Jake joined us for a nice hike on the Wagner Trail.
Beautiful poppies along the trail.
A great Sunday Brunch....Yum!
A barrel cactus being protected by desert trees...
Ranger Amy didn't teach us what kind of bird would use this type of nest...it sure looked neat.
A jumping cholla with lots of pups....we gave it some distance.
An Ocotillo getting ready to bloom!
The fountain in Fountain Hills in the distance...always nice to see.
One of our beautiful sunsets.
Our three day weekend went quick, but we enjoyed every minute with rest, relaxation, exercise and great food. Can't wait until our next outing. Hope your weekend was great too!
I have been enjoying visiting blogs and decided to start my own, even though I don't know what I am doing or if anyone will even be interested in reading what I have to say. I am a 50 year old management consultant who has been married to the the love of my life for 30 years and have two grown daughters and a son-in-law who we are very proud of. We are blessed to live in Scottsdale Arizona and are enjoying getting out and experiencing it in our RV! Thanks for stopping by our blog and please consider joining us, who knows where we will go...Kevin & Tracy.

I fell into one of those chollas last year. My legs did not look good! I give them a very wide berth now. Not like!

Glad you kept your distance. Those chollas are so dangerous. Glad you had such a great week-end.
ReplyDeleteChollas are no fun...our Beagle picked one up in her mouth years ago and we didn't think she was going to make it. We are very cautious with them as they were all over the park!
