I have been enjoying visiting blogs and decided to start my own, even though I don't know what I am doing or if anyone will even be interested in reading what I have to say. I am a 50 year old management consultant who has been married to the the love of my life for 30 years and have two grown daughters and a son-in-law who we are very proud of. We are blessed to live in Scottsdale Arizona and are enjoying getting out and experiencing it in our RV! Thanks for stopping by our blog and please consider joining us, who knows where we will go...Kevin & Tracy.

Nice Rack!

Bike rack that is...sorry, I just couldn't resist.:-)  It was time for a new bike rack for IRIS.  Since we are now towing the Tin Can, we lost the use of our bike rack and have had to carry them in the motorhome, which was no fun.

I did a lot of research online at Camping World and Amazon and found this ladder mounted bike rack at Amazon for $65, with free shipping, what a deal!

I like this rack because it not only holds the bikes out of the way when traveling, but it also folds to the sides to enable me to use the ladder once the bikes are removed.
Lock Arms Into Position

Arms Swing Out For Ladder Use!

When I received it yesterday, it appeared that it may have been installed and returned, but all of the parts were there with only a couple of minor scuff marks, so I didn't go through the hassle of returning it, although I know Amazon would have had no problem if I did.
Bikes Secure And Ready To Roll!

So I can't wait for our next trip, which isn't until November, to really give it a try.  I am just glad we don't have to see and hear the bikes moving side to side within our rig as we go down the road and it will be great having them along on our next trip.

Tracy and I are off to Wilsonville, OR to visit our daughter Stephanie and SIL Randy for a week and can't wait to see the Fall colors.  More to follow from there and we hope you are all having a safe and enjoyable week!

  1. Gee, and I thought you were going to talk about Tracy. Looks like a good bike rake though. Have a great time in OR. I'm hoping we're done with the wind and dust after yesterday and we can just sit back and enjoy the weather.

  2. We love our bike rack on the back of the fifth wheel too. Keeps them out of the way while traveling. Safe travels to OR. I think I may have told you that we were near there in Hebo when workamping this summer. Lovely area!

  3. There are fall colors there. Not as many as on the east coast but some areas sure are beautiful. Enjoy your trip and your visit.
