I have been enjoying visiting blogs and decided to start my own, even though I don't know what I am doing or if anyone will even be interested in reading what I have to say. I am a 50 year old management consultant who has been married to the the love of my life for 30 years and have two grown daughters and a son-in-law who we are very proud of. We are blessed to live in Scottsdale Arizona and are enjoying getting out and experiencing it in our RV! 158 Degrees...Really?

Well it has been really hot here in Arizona and over the last few days, we have had extreme heat condition at 115 degrees.

This morning I was up and at the yard work early, not wanting to chance another heat stroke.

When I was done, it was time for a dip in the pool to cool down. When I checked the digital temperature gauge in the pool, it read 158 degrees...wow.

Of course it was not actually 158 degrees, it was probably more like 95 degrees. The warm water temps actually brought Tracy out for her annual dip in the pool. Last year she didn't make it in, so she made up for it this year. I was going to post a picture of the event, but I was told in no uncertain terms that I would not be posting any pictures.

When we moved to Arizona 19 years ago,Tracy had no desire for a house with a pool and I insisted. When the girls were young, we used it much more than we do now, it gets very expensive to maintain when compared to our current use.

So needless to say, it has been an inside day today, trying to avoid this heat. I am sure looking forward to a break in this weather come October.

Hope your day was a great one and thanks for the visit.

  1. I am so NOT looking forward to getting down there in September because I know it is still going to be hot. I'm hoping maybe it will be down in the 90's - but that's probably just dreaming on my part.

    1. I'm sorry to say that we will probably be well into the 90's in September...I remember several Halloweens that were so hot that the girls didn't want to wear their costumes.

  2. Nothing quite like a dip in the pool when the temps are in the tripple digits , but like you say it can be an expensive luxury, especially when not used to much.

  3. I really feel for you all down in the valley. I has been warm up here in the mountains, but no where near that of the valleys.

    Stay cool.
