I have been enjoying visiting blogs and decided to start my own, even though I don't know what I am doing or if anyone will even be interested in reading what I have to say. I am a 50 year old management consultant who has been married to the the love of my life for 30 years and have two grown daughters and a son-in-law who we are very proud of. We are blessed to live in Scottsdale Arizona and are enjoying getting out and experiencing it in our RV! Thanks for stopping by our blog and please consider joining us, who knows where we will go...Kevin & Tracy.

Steak Anyone?

Well as you know from Sunday's post, Sarah has moved into a house near ASU to start the new school year.

Sarah has been a vegetarian for many years following a trip with my in-laws to a chicken ranch. As a result, Tracy has done a great job of preparing salads, vegetables in many different forms that I've never seen before and lots of pasta, but very few steaks.

To reward my efforts in getting Sarah moved, in the blazing heat, tonight was steak on the BBQ!

Although I probably could have just cooked it all on the sidewalk, I decided to use the grill.:-)

Hope your day was great and stay cool!

  1. Ah a couple of Filets. my favorite, We have a meat market that sells four of these babies nice size too for $20. My next choice is a nice thick porterhouse. But around here that will cost you close to another $20 or your firstborn son. But a couple time a month we have a good steak here at the Ranch with a Great Northern Railroad "Big Baked Potato" those babies were big. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna....

  2. Good that you finally got Sarah all settled in and can relax with a great looking steak on the BBQ.

  3. My kind of meal. Definitely not a vegan in our house. I think it's exciting for Sarah to be embarking on these new experiences.

  4. Moral of the story - never visit a chicken ranch! Great looking BBQ!

  5. @ Rick Doyle: LOL. I like your moral of the story.
